Project: Conservation Easement Baseline Documentation

Client: Indian River Land Trust

Summary: The Indian River Land Trust is acquiring conservation easements to preserve the natural heritage of Indian River County, Florida. A key component of a conservation easement is the baseline documentation that details the environmental conditions of the property. CivaTerra and the Land Trust utilized a GPS to capture the spatial locations of significant landscape features, such as structures and vegetation communities. These data, coupled with the property survey, were incorporated into GIS and used to produce the baseline documentation maps.
